2010 World Cup Draw

On Friday December 4, 2009 Fifa officially drew the eight groups that make up the 32 team World Cup, which will be held in South Africa in June of 2010. As an American soccer fan I couldn't be more pleased with the group the yanks got put in. Group C, will include the US, England, Algeria, and Slovenia. The group is relatively easy for the US considering Algeria is ranked 28th and Slovenia 33 in the world respectively. It looks like two wins against them and the US will push through to the round of 16. The big game that may decide who wins the group will be England vs. US in the first game of the tournament for each team. US and England have only met once in the World Cup. That game ended in a 1-0 win for the US, hopefully history repeats itself 60 years later.
